anCnoc 1996 Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Knockdhu Distillery, established in 1894 and one of the smallest and most enchanting in the Scottish Highlands, is renowned the world over by malt enthusiasts for producing a Single Malt that makes every day a special occasion.

The Knockdhu Distillery nestles under the mysterious Knock Hill, known to locals by its Gaelic name of anCnoc. Curiously, the Single Malt produced from the Knockdhu Distillery is not named after the Distillery. It is proudly named after the anCnoc, which provides the source of the pure crystal spring water that is an essential element of anCnoc Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

anCnoc Single Malt Scotch Whisky. 16 year old Alc/Vol. 46%

Founded in 1894
Location Speyside region, northeast district Huntly
Water source Local springs on Knock hill

Wholly maturing AnCnoc in American Bourbon barrels allows the intense citrus notes that are key characteristics from Knockdhu to shine through.

AnCnoc 16 Years Old has been bottled in its most natural form – neither chill-filtered nor coloured. As a result AnCnoc 16 Years Old may develop a light haze with the addition of water or if kept at a cold temperature. This haze is a natural characteristic of whisky that is un-chill filtered.

anCnoc 16 Years old Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes:

Nose An intense aroma that awakens your senses with bursts of citrus fruit, before slowly melting into a soft and sweet, fragrant vanilla.

Colour Sparkling gold with a slight yellow hue.

Taste Light and zesty with a hint of spice, warming up to what can only be described
as "stick to your teeth" toffee. A long and lingering finish leaving you ready
for the next sip.
