Tomatin 1967, 40 year old single malt Scotch whisky.

Distilled 1967 bottled 2008 aged 40 years in oak casks.

Jim McEwan's Celtic Heartlands deliberately stands out from the crowd; these are not standard bottlings, These stimulate the mind with their amazing complexity and originality.

With over 40 years in the whisky industry, starting as an apprentice cooper at the age of 15 means that there is very little that Jim McEwan does not know about single malt scotch whisky.

He has been recognised three times as Distiller of the Year, amongst a myriad of other accolades including Industry Leader of the Year (Malt Advocate) and Personality of the Year (Whisky Magazine).

Nose : Rich and malty. Honey, vanilla, Kendal mintcake!
Palate : Smooth and rich. Malty, spicy, cream fudge.
Finish : Gentle and spicy.

Tomatin 15 year old Single Malt Scotch Whisky


This newest edition to the range was released in August 2009. Soft and delicate but with a significant influence from the North American oak.

Tasting Note

Aroma - Light and fresh, with delicate oaky notes coming through. An explosion of fruit follows with peach and citrus flavours dominating, vanilla and orange peel linger in the background.

Taste - Soft, gentle and very fruity. Smooth, medium body, delicate honey, mild orange and apricot.

Finish – Gentle and soft flowing. A wonderful addition to the standard range.

Cask - Matured in refill American Oak casks.

6 Wash stills 6 spirit stills with boil balls in their necks
Matured in American oak bourbon casks with some sherry butts.
Own cooperage on site to maintain the barrels

Aroma - A complex bouquet contains rich malt and fruity aromas.

Palate - The palate is rewarded with a unique combination of attractive flavours – a balance of stewed apples, pears, malt , with a gentle hint of nuttiness.

Finish – Smooth , sweet and very satisfying.

Tomatin Single Malt Scotch Whisky 1988

Distilled 1988 bottled 2008 by Gordon & MacPhail
TOMATIN 1988 Malt Whisky 43% Tasting Note...


Colour: Light gold.

Without Water

Nose: Sweet - creme brulee, chocolate toffees and fudge.

Spicy, earthy notes. Pine resin.

Palate: Sweet with spices - leather and roasted malt. Turns

slightly herbal - real ale.

With Water

Nose: Leafy with cereal aromas, sweetness slowly develops

along with a menthol note.

Palate: Rich spices and herbal flavours with a subtle

sweetness.

Body: Medium/rounded.

Finish: Sweet cereal notes.

Cask Type: Refill American Hogsheads.

Whisky Style: A smooth, easy drinking malt whisky.
