Glen Grant 1959 Vintage Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes
Colour: Amber gold.

Neat
Nose: Mahogany, polished hardwood floors, fruity notes
develop - strawberries. Waft of smoke and malty notes
tease the nostrils.

Palate: Dry and spicy, with waves of smoky malt. Ground
ginger. Blackcurrants and dark chocolate. Hints of
citrus fruits - grapefruit, ripe oranges.

With Water added
Nose: Old leather-bound books and peaty note confirms age. A
youthful fruity note is present - fruit salad (pears,
pineapples, kiwi fruit). Custard powder.

Palate: Water softens the spicy note and a wave of dark orange
chocolate develops. Wonderful melt in the mouth stuff!

Body: Full and rich.

Finish: Long and contemplative.

Cask Type: First fill Sherry casks.

Whisky Style: A malt to be savoured.
