Glen Grant Single Malt Whisky 1960 Gordon & MacPhail 40%, 70cl

Speyside region. Glen Grant Scotch Whisky. Straithisla district.
 from Gordon & MacPhail. Distilled 1960 Bottled in 2009.

Glen Grant 1960 Scotch Whisky Tasting note Colour: Rich brown.
Undiluted
Nose: Sherry, charred oak with leather and tobacco notes. Slightly resinous with oily aromas also present.
Palate: Sweet, sherry with green herbal flavours. A hint of dark chocolate and coffee.
With Water
Nose: Sherry wood with some peaty aromas. Delicate perfumed/floral note. Dried fruits - prunes and raisins.
Palate: Sherry wood again dominating but a smoky note emerges with some leafy, floral flavours. A touch of spices - cloves.
Body: Rich and resinous.
Finish: Sherry with a hint of cloves.
Cask Type: First Fill Sherry Butts
Whisky Style: Uncomplicated - a rich, sherried malt
