Yamazaki Sherry Cask Japanese Single Malt Whisky 48%

Water: Underground water from Mt.Tennoh

Yamazaki Distillery was the first whisky distillery built in Japan (1923). The first domestic whisky "Suntory Shirofuda" (blended) went on sale in 1929.

The tannins and polyphenols contained in the Spanish oak casks leach into the whisky, imbuing it with a darker reddish hue than North American white oak casks could ever provide.

Tasting notes :-

Colour : Deep bronze
Aroma : Raisin, cacao, roasted sesame seeds, butter
Taste  : Sweet, slightly sour, slightly bitter
Finish  : Sweet and sour, pleasantly bitter, lingering.
