Single Cask bottling of Strathisla Single Malt Scotch Whisky by Douglas Laing.
Provenance Range.
Distilled in Winter 1999 and bottled Summer 2010 from one Refill Hogshead DMG Ref : 6301
The nose opens with a gristy sweet character, like entering a malt barn and develops to a fruit plus creamy style. Still sweet, the palate carries a barley sugar quality and has a nice malty mouthfeel with a cough sweet warmth. The sweet gristy style returns on the finish which is long, dryly spiced yet mellow.
