Japanese Dram of the Day: Yamazaki 10 year old Japanese Single Malt Whisky

Distilled and bottled at Yamazaki, the oldest distillery in Japan.

Tasting notes…

The whisky is a Brilliant Gold in colour with a medium body as it moves in the glass

On the nose dry fruits, spicy malt combine with the cinnamon and vanilla aromas

The palate has Nutmeg with Cinnamon a slight fennel seed adds a bitter sweet dimension

The finish follows up the palate with the spicy drynes however with a  hint of vanilla and honey sweetness. (M)
