Dram of the day: Teeling Irish Whiskey

The Teeling Family has long been associated with Irish whiskey. Starting  Walter Teeling  who setup a distillery on Marrowbone Lane in Dublin in 1782, to John Teeling who founded Cooley Distillery in 1987, the first new Irish whiskey distillery to be establish in Ireland in over 100 years.

Last year Jack Teeling sold the Cooley Distillery Group to Jim Beam Inc for an alleged 95million.

Jack continues on the Teelings entrepreneurial spirit and while initially starting out as an Independent bottler aims to get back into the distilling game to ensure a constant supply of Irish whiskey and The Teeling Whiskey Co. goal of reviving the Independent Spirit of Ireland.

The whiskey featured  is the first of the Teeling Irish Whiskey and has been matured in Rum Casks.
