Traditional American Bourbon oak maturation but with a premium  additional evolution in exceptional Amarone Casks

Melon, White Pepper, green Apple, Cereal, Red Cherry, Raspberry, Chocolate.

Bladnoch Single Malt Scotch Whisky 23 year old 1977

United Distillers mothballed the distillery in 1993. One year later Raymond Armstrong an Irish businessman acquired it under the condition that the distillery remained silent. After careful and prolonged discussion with UDV the condition was amended to a limited output.

The visitor centre was opened in 1998 and to the joy of whisky lover’s Limited production commenced in 2000

Sweetly perfumed nose introduces a light, smooth body, sweet honey and citrus fruit notes abound on the palate. This rarely seen, gentle Lowland malt whisky finishes, crisp - a fine aperitif.

Bladnoch Single Malt Whisky Tasting notes...


Colour: Light straw.
Undiluted Nose: Lavender with citrus fruit notes. Some malty, cereal aromas present.

Palate: Sweet, floral and dry grass flavours. A spicy, liquorish note develops.


With water Nose: Cereal and hessian with hints of spices. A delicate sweetness - milk chocolate.

Palate: Sweet and spicy - hints of cedar wood. The floral notes slowly emerge.

Body: Light. Finish: Delicate with fragrant notes

Cask Type: Refill Bourbon Casks.

Whisky Style: Classic Lowland malt, delicate with subtle aromas and flavours.
