Benromach Vintage 1969 (43%) Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky


Tasting Notes

Speyside region, Findhorn district.

Colour: Rich orange gold

Nose: Sweet sherry with apples, raisins and sultanas. Some camphor and menthol aromas with hints of linseed oil. Spices – cloves and cinnamon

Body: Big and complex

Palate: Smoky with a rich spicy note. Oiled / polished oak. Sherry and fruitcake flavours slowly develop

Finish: Unsurprisingly the sherry influence remains to the endCask type: First fill sherry hogsheads

Whisky style: A big, sherried whisky – complex and rewarding
