Highland Selection Single Malt Scotch whisky


The Highland Selection from Inver House is a range of Limited Edition Single Malt Whiskies from each of the company's 5 distilleries.

Each malt has been individually selected by the Distillery Manager for their unique character and exceptional qualities.

The selection has been specially designed to enable additional malts to be added to this rare collection as they are released.

Balmenach 1973, 27 yr old 46%.Speyside Single Malt Whisky.

Balmenach, an illicit distillery before it was licensed in 1824; it was situated in the hilly countryside between the upper reaches of the Spey and the Avon.

Appearance: Pale gold, wet straw like colour

Nose: Nose warming, a fresh tobacco note initially fading into medium bodied oakwood, slightly sweet.

Plate: A mouth warming prickle to the tip of the tongue introduces a pronounced oakwood note that gradually blends into a glowing vanilla sweetness. Light to medium character with overtones of white wine and fresh fruit. A Pleasant after taste hints of salt air and a delightful finish.
