Lochnagar 34 year old 1971 57.2% Platinum Selection

Highland region. Eastern District

Distilled 1971 bottled 2005 at 57.2% Platinum Selection Bottling by Douglas Laing One of 474.

Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting notes.

Initially mentholated, before creamy and spicy notes burst to the fore: ginger: cloves. Cinnamon and honey!

The light body reveals a “slow burning”.

palate: light to start, then rich, sweet and creamy fruity flavours appear.

The finish replicates the nose, being dry and lingeringly mentholated. (S)
