Littlemill Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes;-

Full of character for a 19 year old, this Littlemill on the nose carries orange pith, cedar wood, barley, vanilla and molasses!
On the palette expect old fashioned “sweetie Shoppe” combination of strawberry chews, caramel, plus sugary butter and some real sweet malty gristiness, - all of which are rounded off on the finish by more orange character and some light smoke which all tails into an attractive soft subtle spiciness. Glen Keith 35 year old Scotch Whisky

Glen Keith Scotch whisky distillery

Founded by Chivas Brothers in 1957

Location Speyside Region Straithisla district, Keith

Water source The Balloch Hill springs

Glen Keith 35 year old 52.6% Rum Cask Finish

Douglas Laings Old & Rare Platinum Collection.

Distilled December 1971 and bottled in May 2007.

One of only 182 bottles from a single cask.

Whisky Tasting Notes....
With an immediate nose of Caribbean fruits and spices;
this Glen Keith has a definite and unique rum influence; coconut and pineapple linger alongside tobacco and late smoke.

The mid-weighted body leads to a palate more akin to-a Sherry casked malt; being herbal and dry before developing into a menthol and clove with a distinct tobacco quality.

The finish lingers with a dry smoked spiciness and late peat. (F&S)

Ardbeg 30 year old 1975, 47.8% Platinum Selection Whisky

Islay Region
Distilled 1975 bottled 2005 at 47.8%
Platinum Selection Bottling by Douglas Laing
One of 274 .
Tasting Notes.
Its nose is characteristically aromatic, earthy, sweet, tarry and distinctively peated, a real islay smiler.

The Palate is attractively rounded and full, manifestly oceanic with expected peaty characteristics, still maintaining an attractive sweet profile.

This runs to a finish which is smoky, dryly spiced with more late tar qualities evident.

Highland region. Eastern District

Distilled 1971 bottled 2005 at 57.2% Platinum Selection Bottling by Douglas Laing One of 474.

Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting notes.

Initially mentholated, before creamy and spicy notes burst to the fore: ginger: cloves. Cinnamon and honey!

The light body reveals a “slow burning”.

palate: light to start, then rich, sweet and creamy fruity flavours appear.

The finish replicates the nose, being dry and lingeringly mentholated. (S)

Lochnagar 30 year old 1974 60.2% Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Highland region eastern district.

Distilled 1974 Bottled 2005

Single cask releasing 224 bottles

Lochnagar Distillery Aged 30 year old

Bottled at natural cask strength 60.2% Non Chill filtered.

Platinum Selection bottling by Douglas Laing.

The initial nose is rich and sweet; bursting with ginger; cloves and orange peel with hints of toffee apples in the background.

The creamy body slowly falls away to reveal a well-rounded and full palate abundant with delights from the dessert menu; Crème brulee, peach melba and caramel shortcake.

The finish is surprisingly short-but-sweet and distinctly moreish.
