Water source Local springs near Millbuies Loch.


Speyside region. Linkwood Scotch Whisky.
Bottled and matured by Gordon & MacPhail in 2006.

Tasting Notes :-

Without Water
Nose: Floral with some ripe fruit aromas. Sweet, spicy notes - "Humbug" sweets.
Palate : Spicy with sweet elements - creme brulee. Menthol and eucalyptus notes present.

With Water
Nose : Similar to undiluted nose with floral and fruit notes with a touch of beeswax.
Palate : Rich fruit cake and mulled fruit flavours, reminiscent of a well sherried Christmas Pudding..

Classic single malt whisky from the Speyside Region.

TASTING NOTE....

Glen Avon is a Single Speyside Malt, distilled for Gordon & MacPhail at a Speyside Distillery. Matured in their own casks, each bottling comprises of oak casks specially selected to the highest quality.

Colour: Dark golden.

Nose: Sweet aroma with sherry notes. A fruity element in the background.

Palate: Smoky notes and sweetness - developing tangy, sherry wood flavour.

Body: Medium.

Finish: Sherry wood.

Whisky Style: A sweet, sherried malt - no requirement for water

Glen Grant 1959 Single Malt Whisky

Location Speyside region Rothes district Rothes town.
Water source Caperdonich Spring and Back Burn

Glen Grant 1959 Vintage Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes
Colour: Amber gold.

Neat
Nose: Mahogany, polished hardwood floors, fruity notes
develop - strawberries. Waft of smoke and malty notes
tease the nostrils.

Palate: Dry and spicy, with waves of smoky malt. Ground
ginger. Blackcurrants and dark chocolate. Hints of
citrus fruits - grapefruit, ripe oranges.

With Water added
Nose: Old leather-bound books and peaty note confirms age. A
youthful fruity note is present - fruit salad (pears,
pineapples, kiwi fruit). Custard powder.

Palate: Water softens the spicy note and a wave of dark orange
chocolate develops. Wonderful melt in the mouth stuff!

Body: Full and rich.

Finish: Long and contemplative.

Cask Type: First fill Sherry casks.

Whisky Style: A malt to be savoured.

Benromach Single Malt Whisky (Origins Batch 1 Golden Promise 50%)


Benromach Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky produced from Golden Promise Barley.

Distilled 1999 Bottled 2008.

Cask Type :- Sherry Cask Phenol level 4ppm.

Colour : Dark golden
UNDILUTED
Nose : Initial buttery note, delicate floral influences. A prominent toasted malt note with subtle sherry notes in the background.

Palate : Starts creamy and becomes very sweet. Heavily toasted malt influences with a very delicate smoke. Mouth watering and complex.

Finish : Long and smooth.

WITH WATER

Nose : Prominent sweetness with heavy malt influences. Delicate orange peel note and some smoke.

Palate : Initially peppery, becomes sweeter with a very subtle smoke in the background. Mouth watering and smooth.

Body : Bold, tempered by the sweetness and fruit notes.

Finish : Long and balanced.

Body : Medium.

Cask Type : Sherry cask.
