Founded 1824 by James McWilliams
Location Speyside Devron Region.
The site was1 Mile west of Banff at Inverboyndie on the B9139.
Closed 1983. Demolished 1985

TASTING NOTE

Colour: Amber

Without water
Nose: Sweet and fruity - pear drops with a slight floral note,
hints of charred oak.
Palate: Smoky (ash), sweet spices - liquorice and aniseed.
Burnt fruits.

With Water
Nose: Fruits - red apples and sherry notes. Sweet toffee
element with some roasted malt.
Palate: Smoky with sweet fruitcake flavours, some nutty/oily notes.

Body: Rounded
Finish: Sweet, subtle sherry.
Cask Type: Refill Sherry Casks.
Whisky Style: Rich, aromatic and balanced with a Sherry sweetness.
