Dram of the Day; CAOL ILA SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY 1998 43%

Distillation Date : December 1998
Bottling Date      : March 2010
Cask Type         : First Fill Sherry Butts.
The colour is  Pale gold with a light body
On the Nose there is sweet cured bacon influences, with a delicate smoky nose. Some fruity notes emerge.
The palate reveals a delicate spice - pepper, a rounded hint of smoke develops. A sweet cured edge is retained with a heavy creaminess

With Water Added there is  more pronounced smoke, with lighter influences of sweet cures, fresh with a hint of citrus fruits.
the palate is now Initially mouth warming, becoming creamy, with a lighter hint of smoke lingering in the background. Smooth and sweet
Finish; Smooth and lingering.

Style; Sweet, smooth and smoky a wonderful aperitif
